TBS is adding a West Coast feed

Share

Cable’s TBS channel has a lineup that includes reruns of “Seinfeld,” “Friends” and “Home Improvement.” The comedies air in the early evening on the East Coast, but because there has only been one national feed of TBS, viewers on the West Coast could only see them in the late afternoon. That’s about to change.

TBS announced Tuesday that it will start a West Coast satellite feed on Sept. 29, so viewers here will see all but sports programming on a three-hour delay from the East Coast.

Sports programming, including major league baseball telecasts, will continue to air live and simultaneously on both East and West Coast feeds.

Among the programs coming to the network in the coming year will be a new series, “House Rules,” pitting three teams of amateur home remodelers against each other, and reruns of “The Steve Harvey Show.” Original movies scheduled include November’s “National Lampoon’s Thanksgiving Family Reunion.”
