An L.A. Sports Fan Steps Up to Mike
In Mike Penner’s criticism of greater Los Angeles being named the best sports city [Aug. 16], he seems to be forgetting the most important criteria of all, the people.
The people have told the NFL, no tax dollars for fat cats. If they want a team here, pay for it. We love sports, but unlike New York, we don’t need it.
Perhaps Mr. Penner should stick to reviewing movies. Oh, that’s right, to do that he would need to know the difference between a sports movie and a gambling movie.
Don’t worry, Mike. You won’t have to answer the casting call when they are looking for real sportswriters to play bit parts in “Fever Pitch 2.”
