State Lawmaker May Be Cited for Causing Crash

An assemblyman could be cited for running a red light, crashing into a van and toppling his own SUV, police said.
Assemblyman Manny Diaz (D-San Jose) caused Thursday’s crash and was to be cited for failure to observe a traffic signal, police said. No one was seriously injured in the crash that occurred near the assemblyman’s home in San Jose.
