Suspect Descriptions
I had noticed a few days prior to “One Crime, a Million Hispanic Suspects” by Luis R. Torres (Commentary, Aug. 26) that the Hummer vandalizing suspects from the Earth Liberation Front were only described as “young and thin” not “young, thin and white.”
A review by all law enforcement agencies and media outlets on how to accurately describe the physical characteristics of crime suspects, regardless of race or ethnicity, seems to be in order.
