Thousands Pray for Return of Monument

More than 1,000 backers of suspended Chief Justice Roy Moore jammed the state Judicial Building’s plaza in Montgomery to pray for the return of his Ten Commandments display.
Moore wasn’t at the rally.
A federal judge ruled last year that the monument violated the Constitution. Moore refused to comply with the order to move it, was overruled by his eight colleagues on the Alabama Supreme Court, and was suspended. The monument was removed Wednesday.
