Matt Hasselbeck has the Seattle offense on a roll. And the Seahawks turned in a great defensive performance too.

“We’re rolling, and we’re not done yet,” Shaun Alexander said. “This is getting exciting for us.”

Hasselbeck threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns, while Alexander rushed for 127 yards and another touchdown, leading Seattle to a 34-7 victory Sunday over the reeling Cleveland Browns.

Darrell Jackson, who had trouble catching the ball earlier this season, had eight receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns, while Koren Robinson caught six passes for 122 yards.

It was the first time in franchise history that the Seahawks (8-4) had a 300-yard passer, a 100-yard rusher and two 100-yard receivers in a game.

Seattle improved to 7-0 at home for the first time since 1984, matching a club home-field record set that year en route to a 12-4 mark. Going back to last season, Seattle has won eight straight home games and nine of its last 10.

The Seahawks were a remarkable 11 for 15 on third-down conversions before Hasselbeck gave way to Trent Dilfer in the fourth quarter.

“That is a very key statistic in any game, next to turnovers,” Seahawk Coach Mike Holmgren said.

Seattle remained one game behind St. Louis in the NFC West while sending the Browns (4-8) to their fifth loss in six games.

It was Cleveland’s most lopsided loss in three seasons under Coach Butch Davis, eclipsing a 23-point loss at Green Bay on Dec. 23, 2001.

As impressive as the Seahawks’ offense was, its defense was equally strong. The Seahawks allowed 47 yards rushing and Cleveland finished with 204 total yards, much of it coming on late passes.
