The Sundance Film Festival announced its lineup in the dramatic and documentary categories Monday, and all are dotted with names familiar to diligent followers of prior festivals and award shows.

“Chrystal,” the new film by Ray McKinnon, whose live-action short “The Accountant” won an Academy Award in 2002, vies in the dramatic competition with, among others, past Sundance directors Christopher Munch (“The Sleepy Time Gal”) with “Harry and Max,” Greg Harrison (“Groove”) with “November,” and Jacob Kornbluth (“Haiku Tunnel”) with “The Best Thief in the World.”

Oscar winner Jessica Yu (“Breathing Lessons: The Life and Work of Mark O’Brien”) heads the documentary competition with “In the Realms of the Unreal.”
