Boy Hospitalized After Being Hit Crossing Street
A boy was hospitalized Monday after he was struck by a van as he crossed a street, police said.
The boy, whose name was not released, entered the street in the 2200 block of Westport Drive about 7:20 a.m., Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez said. He is a fourth-grader at a nearby school.
He was not in a crosswalk and entered the street from between two parked cars, police said.
The driver, who was not injured, was questioned and released. Police said speed was not a factor in the collision. An investigation was continuing.
