A 23-year-old Huntington Beach man shot in the leg remained hospitalized Sunday in stable condition, Huntington Beach police said.
The attack, in the 7600 block of Amberleaf Circle, was reported to police about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a police statement.
The victim, Arnuelo Calderon, was talking with friends when three men walked up to him and two of them opened fire, police said. A motive for the attack was unclear.
The suspects were described as males 16 to 18 years old, wearing dark clothing. They may have fled the scene in a red, early ‘90s Ford Thunderbird with a white or silver stripe on the side.
