Woman Is Shot While Decorating Tree, Dies
A woman who was shot in the neck as she decorated a Christmas tree last week died in a hospital Monday afternoon, according to police.
They have not released the name of the woman, who was hit by a stray bullet Friday evening in her house in the 3900 block of South Budlong Avenue.
Police said that the bullet pierced her front door before striking her, and that investigators found several .45-caliber shell casings about 100 yards from her home.
Police described the woman as in her late 30s, and married with two teenage children.
