$25,000 Reward Offered in South L.A. Killing

Los Angeles Police offered a $25,000 reward Tuesday in their search for the person whose errant shot killed Laudeina Salazar, a South Los Angeles mother of three who was decorating her Christmas tree this month when the stray bullet pierced her front door and struck her neck.
The shot that hit Salazar at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 12 is thought to have come from somewhere in the 1100 block of Leighton Avenue, police said. They ask anyone with information to call detectives at (213) 847-1310 or (877) 529-3855.
