Donated Toys Are Replaced After Theft

Mortgage company employees who donated nearly $7,000 worth of toys for abused children, then discovered them stolen, watched a Christmas story unfold as substitute Santas across California replaced them before Christmas Eve.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday arrested a former volunteer for the Sacramento Children’s Home Christmas toy drive in the theft. Catherine Lynch, 34, of Sacramento, was jailed on allegations of felony grand theft.
