Fizer Out for Season
Chicago Bull forward Marcus Fizer will miss the rest of the season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Fizer was injured when he landed awkwardly while catching a pass and then making a layup in Friday night’s loss at Portland.
The Bulls put him on the injured list Saturday with what was thought to be a sprained knee, but an MRI revealed a tear in the ligament that will require surgery.
Fizer will need six to eight months of rehabilitation, team trainer Fred Tedeschi said.
