Hal Holbrook -- known for his many and varied screen and stage roles, including his critically acclaimed solo show, “Mark Twain Tonight” -- will read the Gettysburg Address in the 11th annual Abe Lincoln Remembrance on Lincoln’s birthday at the Los Angeles National Cemetery in Westwood, where war veterans from Lincoln’s time to the present are buried.

Past readers in this free event have included Charlton Heston, author Ray Bradbury and Los Angeles Times columnist and author Jack Smith. This year’s host is Times’ Sports Editor Bill Dwyre.

Also featured are Los Angeles Master Chorale soloist Leberta Clark, TV and radio personality Stephanie Edwards and period pieces performed by the Salvation Army Long Beach Citadel band and the Southern Exposure Band.
