Witnesses Say Ex-Priest Didn’t Hit Photographer
Two witnesses testified that former Catholic priest Don Kimball didn’t attack a newspaper photographer during Kimball’s sexual misconduct trial last year.
The defense opened Friday with testimony from two of Kimball’s cousins, which contrasted with the accounts of several prosecution witnesses who said Kimball assaulted San Francisco Chronicle photographer Penni Gladstone.
Kimball is accused of assault, vandalism and battery in connection with the April 9 incident that occurred while Gladstone, 49, was trying to take his picture outside a Santa Rosa courtroom.
