John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, has recorded a dance version of the late Beatle’s final song, her Parlophone record label said Monday.

Ono, who turns 70 today, has teamed up with British pop act the Pet Shop Boys for a dance remix of her husband’s song “Walking on Thin Ice.” That’s the song Lennon was working on when he was fatally shot in 1980.

John Lennon -- In Tuesday’s Calendar, a Quick Takes item about Yoko Ono mistakenly referred to “Walking on Thin Ice” as the last song by John Lennon. Although Lennon was working on the song at the time he was killed in 1980, it was as co-producer; the music and lyrics were written by Ono.

“It’s not clear when it’s going to be released,” a spokeswoman for Parlophone said.
