Share

Thursday, at Philadelphia, 5 p.m., ESPN -- This will be the first of a crucial five-game trip for the Kings, who are fighting for their playoff lives. Under first-year Coach Ken Hitchcock, the Flyers are trying to hold off Toronto for home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Friday, at Buffalo, 4 p.m., Fox Sports Net -- The Kings have a 2-9-0 record in the second game of back-to-back situations and they have not won at Buffalo since March 15, 1993. However, the Sabres have toiled this season, mainly because of an inept power play that ranks 29th in the NHL.

Monday, at Detroit, 4:30 p.m., Fox Sports Net -- In recent years, the Kings have played the Red Wings tough and they’ll need a big game to help their playoff chances. Detroit has not been playing great lately but the Red Wings still are loaded and soon could have the return of injured captain Steve Yzerman, out because of a bad knee.
