Hospital Offers Health Career Day to Students
St. John’s Regional Medical Center is teaming up with school officials to offer an event this week to promote careers in health care among students.
The hospital’s career day is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 1600 N. Rose Ave. Eighty students from the Oxnard Union High School District have been invited to participate.
The program is designed to introduce juniors and seniors to the health-care profession, which is suffering from a nationwide shortage of workers.
A similar event will be held March 8 when St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital holds a career day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2309 Antonio Ave. in Camarillo.
