Suspect in Shooting Death Arrested in Texas
A 36-year-old man sought on murder warrants from California and Florida has been arrested in Texas, authorities said.
Demorris Andy Hunter of Oakland was jailed in Houston pending extradition to California in the March 26, 2002, shooting death of Ivora Denise Huntly of Oakland. Witnesses told Oakland police they saw Hunter running from the scene.
The Houston Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Hunter at a house in southeastern Houston. The task force consists of FBI agents, Houston police and Harris County sheriff’s deputies.
