Enquirer’s Parent Gets Injection of Funds
Thomas H. Lee Partners is teaming with Evercore Capital Partners to take control of the company that owns the National Enquirer.
Boston-based Thomas Lee and Evercore will split a $508- million investment in a transaction valuing American Media Inc. at $1.5 billion. American Media’s properties include the Enquirer and the Star tabloids.

* The two founding editors of Fast Company, the glossy magazine that flourished with the technology companies it covered during the 1990s, are giving up their editing duties but will remain with the company. Alan M. Webber and William C. Taylor said they will hire a new editor in chief.
