“Life x 3” blinked.

The comedy starring Helen Hunt and John Turturro, originally scheduled to open on Broadway March 27, the same day as the musical “Urban Cowboy,” will now arrive March 31 at Circle in the Square.

“I do not wish to cause complications for either production by splitting critical and media attention which would happen if we opened the same evening,” Ron Kastner, producer of “Life x 3,” said Thursday. “ ‘Life x 3’ has a very tight schedule, with the commitments of our director and creative team, but luckily we are able to move.”

“Urban Cowboy,” based on the 1980 film that starred John Travolta and Debra Winger, will keep its original opening date at the Broadhurst. Preview performances start Friday.
