Family of Man Killed at LAX Files Claim

The widow and eight children of Yaakov “Jacob” Aminov, the 46-year-old Valley Village diamond importer slain July 4 by a gunman at Los Angeles International Airport, asked the city of Los Angeles Friday for $30 million for economic and emotional losses, the family’s attorney, Richard I. Fine, said.
Claims totaling $8.5 million from four others, including a 6-year-old witness and a man credited with helping disarm the gunman, were also filed Friday against the city.
