Washington at Carolina, Friday
After barely making it into the playoffs, the Hurricanes surprised most NHL experts with their run to the Stanley Cup finals last season. This season, Carolina sits in the middle of the pack in the Southeast Division and the Hurricanes are still searching for the chemistry they had last spring. Jaromir Jagr, Washington’s high-scoring winger, got off to a slow start, but he’s finding the net more with each game.
