Re “City Considers On-Street Car Repair Crackdown,” Jan. 7: L.A. Councilwoman Janice Hahn’s proposal is verified proof of the lack of common sense in the Hahn dynasty. Almost every morning I check my car’s oil and other fluids. That raised hood will be a red flag to parking enforcement officers whose destiny in life seems to be writing as many citations as possible. She “hopes” the officers will exercise due consideration. Sure, Ms. Hahn, and you also believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. The real blight is all those ugly, polluting SUVs taking up two parking spots each.
