Peter Schlessel, 41, has been named president of Columbia and will continue to oversee the day-to-day activities of the production team. Schlessel, who joined the studio in 1989, was most recently president of production. He will report to Columbia Chairwoman Amy Pascal.

Doug Belgrad, 37, and Matt Tolmach, 38, were elevated to co-presidents of production. They will coordinate development and oversee the production of 12 to 15 films a year. Belgrad has been a production executive at Columbia since 1989. Tolmach joined the studio six years ago. The executives all report to Columbia Chairman Amy Pascal.
