Gunman Wounds Driver on San Diego Freeway

A gunman firing from a sport utility vehicle Thursday wounded a driver on the southbound San Diego Freeway, police said.
The shooting near Howard Hughes Parkway occurred about 2:15 a.m. The gunman, in a Chevrolet SUV, struck a man driving a Honda Accord, who drove to an all-night mini-mart and called 911. He is expected to survive.
The victim told police he may have cut off his assailant or interrupted a drag race.
