Council May Hire Expert to Evaluate Top Staffer

The City Council will consider retaining an outside expert to evaluate the job performance of City Manager Dan Joseph, whose future has been in limbo since new council members were elected in November.
Joseph, city manager for eight years, said the closed-session decision Monday is a positive sign because a vote on his potential dismissal has been canceled.
“This is dragging out; that part is frustrating,” he said.
The council is set to discuss Joseph’s performance Feb. 17.
