Festival looks at newer shows

It’s in with the new at the Museum of Television and Radio’s 20th annual television festival, with eight of the 13 programs devoted to first- or second-year series.

The roster of events, which will take place from Feb. 26 through March 12, also includes a “Laugh-In” reunion Feb. 28 and a night featuring the Spanish-language variety show “Sabado Gigante” on March 5.

Newer programs being honored are “24,” “The George Lopez Show,” “Life With Bonnie,” “Boomtown,” “American Dreams,” “CSI: Miami,” “Without a Trace” and “Monk.” All events will be held at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale to museum members Feb. 1 and nonmembers Feb. 7.
