Transit Official Named to School District Post

Timothy Buresh, the former director of construction and engineering for the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority, has been named chief operating officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
He will receive a $235,000 salary to oversee business financial operations during a time of severe economic struggles. Buresh also will supervise the implementation of a $3.35-billion school construction bond.
