Lamenting excess travel caution

I’ve passed your article “As Seen Through Tourists’ Eyes, U.S. Can Be Dangerous” (Travel Insider, Jan. 19) to the staff of our travel agency to read. We get quite frustrated with the State Department’s worldwide cautions, which deter our clients from traveling to places like Switzerland, France and Portugal. I hope people will take these ultra-cautious warnings a bit less seriously.
