Pepperdine (11-7, 3-2) at San Francisco (7-11, 2-3), 7, KPLS (830) --Pepperdine is 8-3 in away games after holding on to defeat Loyola Marymount, 70-67, Saturday. Jimmy Miggins, who blocked a last-second shot to preserve the victory, averages 15.6 points to lead a balanced attack for the Waves. San Francisco forward Darrell Tucker, the Dons’ top scorer and rebounder, has sat out the last six games because of a dislocated right thumb and is doubtful for tonight’s game. Guard John Cox, a cousin of Laker star Kobe Bryant, has picked up the slack in Tucker’s absence. Cox is averaging a league-best 22 points and shooting 51.9% from three-point range in West Coast Conference play.

Loyola Marymount (7-13, 1-4) at St. Mary’s (9-8, 2-2), 7, KXLU-FM (88.9) -- The challenge for Loyola is adjusting to St. Mary’s deliberate style of play. The Gaels, coached by former Pepperdine assistant Randy Bennett, lead WCC teams in scoring defense, allowing an average of 62.4 points. St. Mary’s forward Chase Poole ranks among conference leaders in scoring, rebounding, steals and blocks. Loyola freshman guard Brandon Worthy is averaging 13 points in the last five games. The Lions’ only road victory last season came at St. Mary’s.
