A Double Shot of Jusred Tonight

Share

Jusred will have two shots to win a race this evening.

In the second, Jusred -- a 3-year-old filly -- will try for her second win in a row against six opponents in a $2,500 claiming race going 4 1/2 furlongs.

Then, two races later, Jusred -- the 3-year-old gelding -- will try to break his maiden in his 10th attempt against five other in a $3,200 claiming race going 550 yards.

Both Jusreds are owned, trained and were bred by Blane Schvaneveldt in California.

Unable to win in her first six races, Jusred finally got the job done June 5, leading all the way to beat $2,500 maidens by 1 1/4 lengths as the 7-5 favorite. She will break from the rail tonight under regular rider Baltazar Contreras.
