Claimed that night by Rodriguez for $20,000 for owner Rodrigo Gonzalez, the 5-year-old gelding returns in a spot where he can’t be claimed.

Shots in the dark: Clovis Queen debuts for trainer Chris O’Dell in the sixth. The Money Train makes his local debut for trainer Adan Farias in the ninth.
