Charlotte Gets Past Sacramento

Allison Feaster and Shalonda Enis each scored 19 points to lead the Charlotte Sting to a 67-65 victory over the Sacramento Monarchs Saturday in front of 6,386 at Charlotte, N.C.

The win moved the Sting one game behind Eastern Conference leader Detroit. Yolanda Griffith led the Monarchs with 17 points.

Cleveland 79, Minnesota 71 -- Deanna Jackson scored 30 points in front of 5,240 to lead the Rockers at Minneapolis. Katie Smith led the Lynx with 21 points.

Houston 76, Washington 54 -- Sheryl Swoopes scored 23 points to lead the Comets in front of 9,379 at Houston. The Mystics have lost nine in a row.

San Antonio 81, Phoenix 70 -- In front of 9,370 at San Antonio, Marie Ferdinand scored 16 points to help the Silver Stars end a three-game losing streak. Anna DeForge led the Mercury with 14 points.
