Officer Shoots, Kills Man Wielding 2 Knives

A police officer Sunday afternoon shot and killed a 33-year-old man who threatened him with knives, authorities said.
The man was shot by the officer at 4:20 p.m. in the 300 block of West Artesia Street, said county Sheriff’s Deputy Johnie Jones.
Armed with two 10-inch kitchen knives, the man had advanced on the officer even after being hit by a Taser gun, Jones said.
The officer pulled his gun and shot the man twice in the upper body, Jones said. The man’s identity was withheld pending notification of relatives.
