Celine Dion to get some company

Share

Billboard reports that Gloria Estefan and Elton John are in line for engagements at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the $95-million facility built for Celine Dion. Estefan reportedly will set down for an Oct. 10-19 stay, while John is said to be negotiating a $54-million multiyear engagement to begin next year. These would be the first extended runs beyond Dion’s under a long-term deal that calls for her to appear five nights a week for the next three years.

The first bookings at the Colosseum other than Dion are country singer Tim McGraw, who is scheduled to appear Friday and next Saturday and Mariah Carey, who stops for a one-nighter on July 26. Tickets for McGraw’s shows run $65 to $150, while Carey’s are fetching $49.50 to $150. Seats to Dion’s shows are $87.50 to $200. Prices for Estefan and John are still undetermined.
