From Times Wire Reports

Cuba said one boat hijacking was quickly foiled when three hijackers apparently killed one another, and a second apparently succeeded when 10 to 15 people sailed to the Bahamas.

Three hijackers tried to seize a fishing boat at La Coloma, about 100 miles west of Havana, the Interior Ministry said. It said they apparently killed one another after other boats blocked them. Guards in Nuevitas, 340 miles southeast of Havana, reported an unusual departure of a government-owned boat. Cuban officials later said that vessel entered Bahamian waters.
