Give Gagne a Save in All-Star Game
While Gagne’s late-inning fiasco at the All-Star game may seem like another slap in the face of the Dodger faithful, I have a positive take on it. Because Dodger management failed miserably to pick up any real offense, the Giants will probably win the West and go to the World Series. But, alas, the lack of home-field advantage will lead to another Giant World Series loss. And all because Gagne, in Dodger blue, lost home-field advantage for the National League. There’s a silver lining to every cloud.

After getting touched up in the All-Star game, Eric Gagne says after the game it was “no big deal.” No big deal? Wait, I thought this game is supposed to matter, like Fox said to us in those three million promos.
Way to go, Bud Selig. You may have kicked up the television ratings a bit, but it seems like that class you took in Motivation 101 was all for naught.
