Justice Gets Probation, Fine After Pleading No Contest

USC offensive lineman Winston Justice has pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of solicitation of prostitution, a spokesman for the Long Beach prosecutor’s office said Friday.

Justice was put on three years’ summary probation, fined $300 and ordered to undergo HIV testing and attend a court-approved AIDS education class.

Justice, 18, was arrested June 24 when he solicited an undercover police officer during a prostitution sting in Long Beach.

USC Coach Pete Carroll would not speculate on what punishment, if any, Justice would face from the football program.

Justice was a starter last season as a freshman and is regarded as a potential honors candidate this season.

“It will be handled internally,” Carroll said. “It’s not something to be commented on publicly.”

Justice could not be reached for comment.
