Fever Overcomes Mystics, 80-75
Forward Tamika Catchings scored 29 points to lead the visiting Indiana Fever to an 80-75 victory over the Washington Mystics on Thursday night in front of 13,849, despite Chamique Holdsclaw’s 34 points, a career high.
Stacey Dales-Schuman, who scored 19 points, pulled the Mystics as close as 78-75 with a three-point basket with 26 seconds left.
Charlotte 67, Detroit 61 -- Allison Feaster scored 18 points and the Sting ended a three-game losing streak with a victory over the Shock in front of 9,589 at Charlotte, N.C.
Sacramento 67, New York 53 -- The Monarchs closed with a 16-4 run to pull away from the Liberty in front of 7,402 at Sacramento.
