3 Teens to Be Charged in Apparent Gang Slaying

Three teenagers have been arrested in the apparent gang-related shooting death of a man who confronted them outside his mother’s apartment in November, police said.

A 16-year-old who allegedly admitted to the shooting and two 15-year-olds will be charged in the slaying of Jonathan Townsend, 18, of Windsor, authorities said.

The two younger boys were picked up in Santa Rosa. The older boy was arrested in Rochester, Minn. The three are members of a Santa Rosa street gang, police said.

Their names were withheld because of their ages.
