Man Surrenders in Lake Forest Robbery

A Lake Forest man turned himself in to sheriff’s deputies after seeing a surveillance tape on TV allegedly of him robbing a local liquor store, authorities said.
Ulysses Valdez, 24, is being held in connection with the May 12 armed robbery of the Paradise Liquor Store on Mercury Road.
He surrendered at a pay phone in front of the same liquor store, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
