State Sues Charity That Sells Donated Cars
The state Department of Motor Vehicles and California attorney general’s office has sued the charity Cars 4 Causes, which operates from areas including Pacoima and San Diego.
The DMV and the attorney general’s office have accused Cars 4 Causes of fraudulent and deceptive business practices, and violating the law regarding charities that sell vehicles.
The charity sells donated vehicles, then passes on the proceeds to charitable organizations donors selected.
Cars 4 Causes officials could not be reached for immediate comment on the lawsuit.
