Man Charged With Murdering Daughter
From Times Wire Reports
A Stockton man accused of decapitating his daughter, 1, over the weekend has been charged with first-degree murder.
Khanh Duy Phan, 33, told a San Joaquin County Superior Court judge Tuesday through a Vietnamese interpreter that he had no need for a lawyer. A public defender was appointed.
Phan was arrested Saturday after making incriminating statements, police said. Authorities said he used a meat cleaver to kill his daughter, Katherine.
