Moreno Lowers Prices for Game-Day Tickets

Share

Arte Moreno, who quickly lowered the price of beer and selected concession items last month upon his approval as the Angels’ owner, has reduced certain ticket prices at Edison Field in his latest fan-friendly move.

A number of right-field pavilion seats will be discounted beginning tonight for all remaining Monday through Thursday home games, and select upper view level seats will be offered to children at a lower rate on Tuesdays effective next week.

The right-field pavilion seats are reduced from $10 to $5 for adults and from $7 to $5 for children ages 2-12. Upper view level seats for children ages 2-12 will be available for $3 on Tuesdays starting July 1 when the Angels play the Texas Rangers.

The discounted tickets are subject to availability and only sold at the Edison Field box office on game days.

Prices are being lowered on as many as 1,700 seats in the right-field pavilion, said Robert Alvarado, the Angels’ director of marketing and promotions, but the number of available discounted tickets will depend on how many of those seats are sold before the day of the game.

Alvarado said the discounts reflect Moreno’s philosophy of making games more accessible to families and children. More ticket-price reductions could be in store as the season progresses, Alvarado said.

Darin Erstad has made several eye-popping catches since returning from the disabled list June 9, but he has not provided a spark on offense. The center fielder is hitting .214 with one home run and one run batted in over his last 11 games, dropping his average from .333 to .286.
