From Times Staff Reports
A 41-year-old woman nearly drowned in a community Jacuzzi on Thursday when she had too much to drink and slipped underwater, police said.
The unidentified woman was taken to Irvine Regional Hospital and Medical Center, where she was in critical condition.
She had been under the water for about four minutes and was discovered face down by residents who were in the swimming pool on Jordan Avenue about 2:15 p.m., said Irvine Police Sgt. Jim Broomfield.
