Ambulance, Fire Engine Collide in Koreatown
From a Times Staff Writer
A Fire Department ambulance and fire engine responding to a call in Koreatown collided at a busy intersection Tuesday, resulting in minor injuries, a city fire official said.
The ambulance was going north on South Western Avenue, and the engine was going east on Venice Boulevard when they crashed at the intersection at 4:32 p.m.
The ambulance flipped on its side, and the paramedics suffered scrapes and bruises.
Both were responding to a report of smoke, which did not turn out to be a serious fire.
