California-Inspired Fashion Spread Finally Breaks the Mold

It was refreshing to see a fashion spread for California that didn’t use the stereotypical bronzed beach-babe model that seems to exemplify the California lifestyle (“California Dreaming,” Special Spring Fashion Issue, Feb. 23). We now see that those of us who cherish, celebrate and preserve our pale skin (and health) needn’t feel as if we don’t have a place in fashionable society here.
