High Winds, Kite Knock Out Power to Thousands

About 3,000 customers lost power Monday in the San Pedro area after a kite became tangled in power lines, the city Department of Water and Power said.
High winds cut electricity to 5,000 customers in South Central L.A. and 1,000 in Eagle Rock.
Southern California Edison said as many as 10,000 customers lost power east and south of L.A.
