40 Arrested as Antiwar Protesters Block Traffic

Antiwar protesters staged a “die-in” in front of the British Consulate and blocked traffic in San Francisco’s financial district Monday morning.
Police in riot gear cleared the intersection, and at least 40 people were arrested. The protest forced the San Francisco Municipal Railway to reroute some bus lines.
